After years of unexplained absence, a notorious outsider known as “Mullet” returns to his small seaside hometown. Wild rumors about his time away have taken on a life of their own—some believe he became a football star, others say he made it big in film. The truth is far less glamorous: he’s the same trouble-prone, oddly charming misfit he always was. Determined to reclaim his past, he sets his sights on his former girlfriend—now pregnant and married to his brother. Scraping by by fishing for mullets no one wants to buy, Mullet quickly wears out his welcome. As the town’s patience runs thin, old tensions resurface, forcing everyone to confront what it really means to belong.
